Bangladesh on Tuesday beat Sri Lanka to virtually book their place in the final of the Asia Cup one-day tournament here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium.
Tamim Iqbal scored 59 runs and Shakib Al Hasan 56 while Nuwan Kulasekara took two wickets as Bangladesh overhauled the victory target in 37.1 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Earlier, seven wickets between Bagladesh’s Nazmul Hossain, Abdur Razzak and Shakib Al Hasan helped to bowl Sri Lanka out for 212.
Nazmul Hossain took 3-32 and Shakib Al Hasan and Abdur Razzak two wickets each to dismiss Sri Lanka for 232 in 49.5 overs. Chamara Kapugedera top scored with 62 off 92 balls.
