Washington - For a hiking trip, a life-threatening. A 28-year-old has survived nearly three weeks in a desert area in the U.S. state of Utah.
The Americans have mainly feeds on frogs and roots, the local radio station Fox8 reported on Saturday. Rescue teams estimate during his journey in the remote Escalante Desert had the man traveled more than 60 kilometers.
When police discovered him, he was so exhausted that he could no longer stand, told the Vice-Sheriff Ray Gardner. "In all my life I have not seen anyone so ausgemerkelt," said Gardner.
The man had disappeared on Thursday. The dog, who had gone with him on the walk, had left him in the course of days, it said.
